Most people associate microscopes with science labs and scientific research, however they are used for many more applications. From rock collectors to jewellery collectors, stores, gardeners, insect collectors, quality control in manufacturing, quality concrete in concreting etc; the list goes on and on. There are basically two types of microscopes that are for the average persons use. There is the COMPOUND microscope which is used for looking at microscope slides which require high powers and the STEREO microscope which is low power but can be used for looking at solid objects like rocks, beetles and bugs, leaves, jewellery and the like. The stereo microscope has 2 eyepieces like a pair of binoculars which with the low power will give you a 3 dimensional view. This makes your viewing experience lifelike. Don’t get confused here as some COMPOUND microscopes have 2 eyepieces also but those are designed to reduce eyestrain when having to sit and view for long periods in which case holding one eye shut is very tiring. Check out our range and if confused contact us for some friendly advice. There is no better gift for a child than a small stereo microscope with which they can explore the world around them. Checking out beetles, bugs, hair, finger nails, leaves, rocks, ants and absolutely anything else they come across, they can put them under the microscope and be amazed.
