The fixed focus system means that you do not have to fiddle around trying to focus the binoculars to get a clear image. The focus has been fixed at the factory; everything from approximately 25 metres to infinity will be in focus for people with normal eyesight, even spectacle wearers. This easy to use "No Fuss, No Focus" means you can pick them up and see those markers or other boats instantly without having to try and focus while the boat is tossing around and one hand is busy hanging on.
These binos are water resistant to minor sprays and splashes but not immersion...always put the strap around your neck.
The 10x50 model isn't recommended for any boat under 10m. The close focusing range of the 10x50 is about 25m
